Event promises lively music and exciting rodeo

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is taking place for three weeks this March

The rodeo will be running for all three weeks of the event and will hand out prizes totaling $2,172,000. It will feature many of the traditional events such as saddle bronc, team roping, bull riding, and chuck wagon races. Tickets cost from $18 for general admission up to $300 for VIP.

The livestock show is one of the largest in the country and will be running for just under two weeks, with admission set at $10. Many farmers and livestock traders will be on hand to showcase their animals and then sell them to interested parties.

There is a lot more going on than these two events, however; there will be concerts throughout the run of the show from artists like Pitbull, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, and Kid Rock. In addition, there will be a barbecue contest, a horse show, agricultural exhibits, and a parade. There will also be carnival rides and games, and = a ticket pack of 22 is available for $10 for those who snap it up before February 27.
