The Christmas Village at Bayou Bend is opening early next month and will run into 2017. It is hosted by The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
The village promises to have something that will appeal to people of all ages. Santa and his reindeers will make an appearance, and there will be light displays and animated projections, games, and tours of the Ima Hogg mansion with costumed reenactors and a holiday theme.
The stained glass Spiegeltent will have musical entertainment, treats, appearances by Santa, a Christmas tree, and snow. The Mistle Tones carolers will be wandering around entertaining the crowd, Jingles the live reindeer will be on hand, and several shop stations will be set up to sell holiday items and gifts. The kids will no doubt enjoy the snowball zone with real snow.
It is likely that organizers have invested in poster printing services from a Houston printing company to help spread the word in the city.
The Christmas Village at Bayou Bend will be open at the Bayou Bend Collections and Gardens from December 10 until January 1. Admission for members of the gardens is $13 for adults and $8 for youth, while the cost for nonmembers is $15 and $10. There will be several premium nights that have higher prices.
