The Christmas Village at Bayou Bend is taking place beginning next month for three weeks.
Presented by The Museum of Fine Arts, there are plenty of family-friendly activities that will be taking place over the course of the event that will get people in a festive mood. There will be a scavenger hunt, an antler rings game, and a music-bell station. There is also a fake snow hill for sledding, cotton snowballs and carol singing.
The 12-foot Christmas tree will be decorated and will have a model train circling around it. Children can also pose for photographs with Santa Claus.
In addition, there will be a bar for the adults, light refreshments, food trucks, and treats in the tent. Guests can also take a tour of the Ima Hogg house for an extra $5.
Organizers of events like this in Houston often hire a printing services company to provide them with marketing materials to advertise in the community.
The Christmas Village at Bayou Bend will be held at the Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens from December 14 to January 5, 2019 beginning at 5:30 PM each day. Admission is $13 for adults and $8 for children between the ages of 5 and 12 for garden members, or $15 and $10 for non-members. For more information about this event, call 713-639-7300.
