The BIG Salsa Festival is taking place next month and will run for three days. It is a celebration of salsa dance and the Latin culture.
The festival will kick off with a pre-party at Westin Galleria from 9:00 PM to 3:00 AM. The next three days will be filled with salsa dancing, music, food and workshops. Salsa classes will be offered for beginners up to advanced dancers. There will also be several workshops in the dance and many open dancing opportunities for all attendees. Entertainment will also be provided by DJs. Guests will have the chance to sample a wide variety of Latin foods and drinks.
There are set to be several Latin dance parties, a Yamulee Mambo Challenge and a Sunday night concert. The concert will feature Los Adolescentes Orquesta and a Latin dance show; tickets are $40 for general admission or $200 for VIP.
Some of the world's best dancers will be showcasing their talent during the festival. This year's participants include Alex and Desiree, Chuco and Aris and Fausto and Kate.
Ticket prices vary from $175 for all three days or $110 for three nights, $50 for Friday or Saturday night and $40 for Sunday.
