The Palace Theater has a lot going on during the holiday season.
This Saturday, December 12, beginning at 7:30 pm the theater will feature “Rocky Gribble presents ‘A Grapevine Opry Christmas”. This will be the 33rd year that the Palace has welcomed the Opry Christmas show.
The Texas Tenors will bring their annual “Deep in the Heart of Christmas” for seven performances starting December 15. JC, Marcus and John will sing seasonal favorites, their original hit “Rise” and The Righteous Brothers’ “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’.”
The Palace will welcome bluegrass artists, the Petersens on December 19 and 20 as they celebrate the holidays with “Christmas with the Petersons.” This group is a crowd-pleaser in Branson, Missouri.
Holiday movies include White Christmas, It’s A Wonderful Life, A Charlie Brown Christmas and How the Grinch Stole Christmas double feature, The Santa Clause, and Home Alone.
Classic Christmas Cartoons and Crafts events will include animated films like The Smurfs Holiday Celebration, A Year Without a Santa Claus, Frosty the Snowman, Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas, and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Each event will also include a craft activity, drinks and popcorn.
Many parents take pictures of their children at events such as this so they can take the photos to nearby Stationery printers to be included in their yearly newsletters.
The Palace Arts Center is located at 300 S. Main Street.
