Grapevine holds annual fest and Golden Jubilee

Bank of the West will be presenting its 42nd Annual Main Street Fest here in Grapevine in mid-May.

The three-day celebration will feature live entertainment over three stages, a carnival and midway with games and rides geared to all ages, and a grapevine Art Project Market. A KidZone will have entertainment especially designed for younger children and interactive activities.

Over 40 local, regional and national sourced craft brews will be available for purchase and guests will also be treated to a variety of wines. Food vendors will be selling funnel cakes, corndogs, and other traditional fair items.

More than 70 artisan vendors will be selling their handmade creations, and many downtown boutiques, galleries, cafes, and wine tasting rooms will stay open for the evening. Many artisan vendors get custom made Business Cards with colorful images representing their art genres.

A highlight of this year's festival will be a Golden Jubilee for Mayor Willian D. Tate. The tribute will recognize the mayor's 50 years of service to the city and will include a Texas Wine Tribute Gala, a Mayor's Public Art Dedication, and a Golden Jubilee Community Picnic.

Tickets to the festival will be $10 for adults, and $5 for seniors and children from 6 to 12 years old. Weekend passes will cost $20.

The 42nd Annual Main Street Fest will take place May 15, 16, and 17 along Historic Main Street.
