Downtown Grapevine’s Palace Theater has presented this year’s line-up of Christmas programs. Many of these presentations have been scheduled for the first week in December.
William Lee Martin will kick off the holidays on December 4 at 8:00 pm with his annual Christmas Standup Spectacular “The Nutcracker.” A consummate storyteller, this tall cowboy with boots, hat, and Texas drawl draws his routine from experiences as a friend, father and husband. Martin will need to get plenty of poster printing done before his show as VIP tickets ($35) include a keepsake, seating in first three rows, and autographed Posters.
A Wishing Star Stage Company Production will stage live radio play “It’s a Wonderful Life” on Saturday, December 5. Tickets will be $18 and there will be two performances – one at 2:00 pm and the other at 7:30 pm. The play is set on December 24, 1946 with characters including George Bailey and the loveable but somewhat ditzy angel Clarence. The audience can enjoy the live foley sound effects along with the high-energy performances.
On Sunday, December 6, beginning at 4:00 pm Kraig Parker will give his rockin’ Christmas holiday special “A Tribute to Elvis.” With the look, charisma, and voice of the King, Parker and the Royal Tribute Band will present an evening of Elvis hits and Christmas classics.
The Palace Theater is located at 300 S. Main Street.
