Many viewing options at Fourth fireworks show

Grapevine’s 40th Annual July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza will be held over Lake Grapevine.

Oak Grove Park will have its baseball, softball, and soccer complexes available. The grass lot and asphalt at Minnow Loop, and the Trawick Pavilion will also be open. Entry fee for all areas will be $20 per car.

The least obstructed view will be across the lake at Rockledge Park, although parking here is limited. Other spots across the lake are a small area beside the Silver Lake Park boat ramp and Lakeview Park. This last location will also have a $20 per car entry fee.

Katie’s Woods Park will also be charging $20 per car, and there will be viewing opportunities at the parking garage at the Grapevine Main Station.

Members of Scott’s Landing Marina may use its grassy parking area. This is a prime location as the marina is located near Oak Grove Loop South.

More distant areas, or ones offering obstructed viewing areas, include Meadowmere Park ($20) and McPherson Slough (free).

Fireworks viewers will have the option to stream patriotic music to accompany the show from the Soundcloud app. Those that have the app can press the “Play on Soundcloud” orange button. Even if the app is not installed, the music will still be available by pressing the “Listen in Browser” black button.

Photos of fireworks are often used by Stationery printers for their patriotic notecards sets.

Fireworks will start next Monday, July 4, at 9:30 pm.
