Many local amateur golfers over 21 will be signing up to play in the 18 hole Nextgengolf City Tour tournament coming to Grapevine in a few weeks.
This one is called the Traverse Insurance Open. Golfers of all skill levels are invited to attend, and no handicaps will be used.
This nationwide, coed, affordable team-based series of golf tournaments ends with a national championship at North Carolina’s Pinehurst Resort at the end of August.
Awards will go to the top pair and top team, and the winners of the closest to the pin and longest drive contests. The top team will be invited to be part of the City Tour Championship.
Among the swag items will be a sleeve of premium golf balls, Koozies sporting the event’s Logo Design, and bars on the first and tenth tees. Discounts will be available on sponsor brands.
Players may register as a full team of four to six players, as a pair or individually. Teams can opt for either best ball (for more experienced players) or scramble (less stressful) formats.
Individual registration is $135. A cart will be included in the registration fees.
This leg of the Nextgengolf City Tour, the Traverse Insurance Open, will be Sunday, July 25 from 12:30 pm until 7:30 pm at the Cowboys Golf Club, 1600 Fairway Drive.
