Among the many holiday events here in Grapevine beginning in mid-to-late November, three may be of particular interest to local revelers.
Savor Messina Hof Winery begins the holiday season with its 6th Annual Holidazzle. This will be a Riedel wine tasting event with gourmet and imported cheeses. The wine will be served in crystal red or white tasting sets crafted by Wine Wings, and the $95 tickets will include one of the sets and four tastings. Messina Hof will also include a holiday gift. The event will be Sunday, November 14 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Messina Hof Winery, 201 S. Main Street.
Historic Downtown Grapevine will become a blaze of Christmas lights as it presents its 33rd Annual Carol of Lights beginning on November 22 from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm. There will be live performances, reindeer, crafts, and holiday food. A Light Show Spectacular at City Hall will open and continue nightly until January 8. The 40-foot animated singing Christmas Tree will be in the Town Square Gazebo from 9:00 am to 11:00 pm from then until January 9. At 7:00 pm, City Hall will light up with fireworks.
Grapevine families can start signing up now for their annual meeting with Main Street Santa. He will be in Grapevine Christmas Building (Founder Building, 701 S. Main Street) starting November 26. Families that get pictures early in the season may take the photos to local Print shops to be made into Holiday Cards.
