It will soon be time for the 36th annual Grapefest, a festival that highlights the more than 400 wineries in and around our area. The four days of festivities will take place in mid-September.
Wine tasting opportunities will include the People’s Choice Wine Tasting Classic where 30 Texas wineries will pour at least 130 wines over a series of 90-minute sessions. The wines will be judged in 10 categories by guests. An awards ceremony will take place in the People’s Choice Pavilion Sunday, beginning at 5:00 pm.
VIP tasting sessions will include live music, charcuterie, and souvenir wine glasses sporting the event’s Logo Design.
Advance tickets are $25, walk-ins will be $28, and VIP tickets will be $50.
Grapefest will also feature wine experiences at the Champagne Terrace, wine pavilions and Liberty Park Plaza Wine Experience (guest wineries from Italian Sicily Region and the California Sonoma Valley).
A series of Champagne Cork Shoot-Offs will take place on the Grapevine Mills Stage. Tickets will be $5 per person and winners of each session will return Sunday for the Grand Shoot-off final.
The festival will also feature plenty of fun for the whole family including a midway and carnival for the children and the Would-be Train Robbers Willy Majors and Nat Barret from the Grapevine Glockenspiel Clock Tower. A Grapevine Marketplace and local artisans will be on-hand selling one-of-kind items.
The 2022 Grapefest will be September 15 through 18 in downtown Grapevine, and one-day admission will be $10.
