The North Pole Express train at the Grapevine Vintage Railroad is full steam ahead as it takes little ones and their families to the North Pole.
Everyone will board vintage Victorian rail coaches decorated for the season and, on the way to the North Pole, elves will meet the guests and sing Christmas carols. Each child will receive a ‘We Believe’ silver bell from Mrs. Claus. At the North Pole everyone will detrain and walk on a snowy forest trail, be entertained with songs and finally see Santa arrive. He will wish everyone a Merry Christmas and share Frosty Chocolate Snow Milk. The milk will be served in special take-home Mugs.
Vouchers will be handed to all families that will enable them to get complimentary family photos with the old elf. Many of these photos will go into making Holiday Cards and 2018 family Calendars.
The After Christmas Trains will be running from Grapevine Station to Fort Worth Stockyards. Vinny, the 1953 diesel locomotive, will be used this year as the 1896 steam engine, Puffy, will be returning to service as soon as possible in early 2018.
The Polar Express will run December 8 through 10, and again December 15 through 23. Please check website for times. The After Christmas Trains will begin December 26 and run until December 30. Times for the After Christmas Train trips will be from 1:00 pm until 5:45 pm.
