Grapevine’s Christmas will not end on December 25, with a haul of celebrations in the days that follow it.
The Polar Express turns back into a vintage train that leaves the Grapevine depot, travels 21 miles, and arrives at the Fort Worth Stockyards station an hour and a half later. After a two-hour layover the train will return to the Grapevine depot. The train will still be strewn with Christmas decorations, and coaches will be heated and have cushioned seats.
For those who have not had an opportunity to see them yet this year, Grapevine’s Singing Snowmen – the Chilly Dawgs Herman, Frank and Bud – will still be singing and joking in Liberty Plaza until after the New Year.
For an after Christmas dinner and a show, the Texas Start Dinner Theater will continue showing the comedy murder mystery – ‘A Cold Hearted Christmas’ until the end of the year. This show is a take on Charles Dickens’ ‘A Christmas Carol’ but with the addition of Marshal Jim Courtright, Sister Mary Agnostic, and her orphans, the local madam Miss Sarah Ann Dippity and Bob Scratchit. Grapevine Vintage Railroad’s After Christmas Trains will run from December 26 through December 30. Trips will be from 1:00 pm to 5:45 pm.
The Singing Snowmen are at Liberty Plaza, 215 S. Main Street until January 6.
