Grapevine goes to paper arts festival

The 2019 Grapevine Rubber Stamp & Paper Arts Festival and Exhibition will be at the Grapevine Convention Center in mid-July. This bi-annual event usually has between 5,000 and 20,000 visitors. The number of exhibitors, collectors and sellers may exceed 100.

Attendees will meet collectors and sellers of items such as old cheques and bank notes, sports cards, ancient coins, obsolete stock certificates, coins, tokens, old rubber Stamps and collecting supplies.

Exhibitors will display items such as paper, cardstock pads and inks, embellishments, glitter, brass stencils, pencils, embossing powder, markers, and Pens.

Crafts such as paper-crafting, scrap booking, card-making, and art rubber stamping were represented by quite a few businesses last year and will probably be heavily represented this year as well.

Non-paper and non-rubber stamp items for sale will include fragrances, shower and bath products, lotion, hand soap, laundry detergent, and car and travel.

Classes, workshops and demonstrations will be put on by local craft centers. Some may return again this year with free make-and-takes. Presenters at events such as this usually bring Business Cards with them so passersby may get in contract them later.

The Grapevine Rubber Stamp & Paper Arts Festival and Exhibition will be Friday, July 12 and Saturday, July 13 at the Grapevine Convention Center, 1209 S. Main Street. Hours will be from 9:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
