Grapevine celebrates holiday with Elf Adventure and Whoville

Herman the Elf will join the North Pole Neighborhood’s Grapevine Christmas Passport event taking place in the Cotton Belt Railroad Historic District.

Interactive activities such as a Cookie Cutter Making Class will give guests plenty to do. Millican’s Blacksmith Shop will have gift and brass luggage tags available for a stamping activity. The Bragg House Grapevine Tin Shop will help guests make metal tinsel, and Foreman House Cotton Belt Route Section will have Wooden Christmas Train ornaments for everyone to decorate. Guests may design their own bookmarks or Christmas necklaces in the Historic Cotton Belt Depot.

Artisans in the Grapevine Foundry, Vettro Glassblowing Studio and Holder Dan Gallery & Art Studios will be demonstrating their skills.

The Elf Adventure will take place from 4:00 to 8:00 pm from November 27 until December 23 at 705 Main Street.

Grapevine will have its own Whoville from November 23 to January 10, 2021 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at the Town Square Gazebo, 325 S. Main Street. Cut-outs of Who-houses, the Who Post Office, and many characters from the Dr. Seuss Books will stand ready for photo opportunities with Grapevine families. Many pictures taken at photo opportunities like this often go to Stationery printers to be made into Holiday Cards. During this time, the Chilly Dawgs, a group of wisecracking animated snowmen, will be on the Grapevine Main Plaza.
