In honor of Father’s Day, Grapevine Parks and Recreation will be hosting a Father Son Field Day in mid-June.
Fathers and up to three sons are invited to watch and play traditional interactive activities such as tug-of-war, sack races, hungry-hungry hippo, ax throwing, soccer darts, egg toss, ring toss, water races, and ladder golf at this throwback event. There will be prizes such as water bottles.
Tickets are available online for $20 for Grapevine residents, $25 for non-residents, and each participant must have a ticket. No tickets will be sold at the event. Registration deadline is June 8. Sons must be at least three years old, and space is limited. Those father and son duos interested in attending need to buy their tickets soon because this event usually sells out quickly.
Father and sons that often attend events like this, occasionally get matching T-Shirts sporting the family Logo Design or some whacky graphic design along with the family name.
Warm-ups will start at 8:30 am with the field day activities beginning at 9:00 am. Water and complimentary food will be provided by In N Out between 10:00 am and 11:30 am. The event will wind down around 11:30 am.
Grapevine’s 2023 Father Son Field Day will be creating competitive memories outdoors at Parr Park, 3010 Parr Lane, on Saturday, June 10 beginning at 8:00 am.
