The 34th annual Carol of Lights will illuminate Downtown Grapevine towards the end of November, followed by the free Holiday Lights Walk taking place the next evening.
The free Carol of Lights will be one of the first of over 1,400 attractions and events coming to Christmas Capital of Texas® over the next 40 days.
Family-friendly activities like holiday bounce houses, seasonal crafts, reindeer photo opportunities, live performances, and food vendors will begin at 4:00 pm followed by the Peace Plaza Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6:30 pm. A 15-minute lights and firework show will be at Grapevine City Hall, 200 S. Main Street, at 7:30 pm and again at 8:30 pm. This year, no seats will be available for the lights and fireworks shows, so there will be standing room only.
Photo opportunities such as the one with the reindeer are often used for holiday family photos. These photos occasionally will be taken to local Print shops to be added to Christmas family newsletters.
As part of the festivities, attendees may also enjoy Peace Plaza’s new 4,500 square-foot outdoor skating rink in addition to the Victorian coaches, larger-than-life giant reindeer, and other traditional ornaments.
All the fun and activities will take place Monday, November 21 at Grapevine Main Station, 815 S. Main Street.
The traditional Holiday Lights Walk will take place from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, November 22, beginning at the Grapevine Vintage Railroad.
