The AKS Gem Show will be back at the Grape Vine Convention Center toward the end of February.
Although this will be a wholesale show, the public is invited to attend.
As in the past, the show will feature fine jewelry, beads, supplies, charms, gemstones, silver, gold, pearls, and designer cabochons. Crystals and minerals will also be available for purchase.
Local, regional, and national gem-related vendors will be onsite, as well as local mineral, gem, and bead societies that will be passing out information about membership. The show will also present beading and jewelry-making classes, jewelry repair and demonstrations.
The bead classes at 3:00pm and 4:00pm on the Friday and Saturday will be free and reservations must be made by email. Attendees must buy their beads from Beading House.
Some exhibitors will be Baby Boomers (handmade fashion jewelry), Imperial Gems (jewelry and fine pearls), Pendragon Jewelry (sterling jewelry), and Coffer Intl (pendants, fresh water pearls and beads).
Exhibitors at events such as this usually bring plenty of Business Cards to pass out to those guests interested in getting in touch after the event.
The AKS Gem Show will be Friday, February 26 and Saturday, February 27 from 6:00 am unit 10:00 pm and Sunday, February 28 from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. The Grapevine Convention Center is located at 1209 S. Main Street. Admission will be $5.
