Elvis Presley fans will be excited to learn that the Lone Star Elvis Festival is coming to Grapevine toward the end of May.
The tribute artists featuring have numerous accolades among them and will include Diogo Light, Cote Deonath, Ted Torres Martin, Cody Ray Slaughter, Bill Cherry, Cliff Wright, Arron Walker, and Donny Edward.
On Thursday, May 27, starting at 8:00 pm the event will feature Golden Oldies. On Friday at 7:00 pm will be Elvis - The Early Years. That will be followed by Elvis in Black, and the finale will be Elvis in Concert.
The Ultimate Preliminary Competition (round one) for the Lone Star entry in the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest will run from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Saturday, May 29. Contestants will perform with the Fever Band. From 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm, the entertainment will turn to Elvis in Hollywood, and from 9:15 pm until 11:00 pm it will be Elvis - Double Trouble.
On Sunday, May 30, from noon until 1:00 pm, there will be a guest interview. The final round of the competition will run from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm, then Era of a King will begin at 7:00 pm.
Fans might wear their old Elvis Promotional Products featuring the King of Rock’s graphic design to the festival, which will be at the Palace Arts Center, 300 S. Main Street.
