Crafters in Grapevine interested in sewing will be flocking to the Gaylord Texan Hotel to attend the three-day 2023 Sew Magical Expo Texas coming in mid-February.
More than 50 hands-on classes will be presented, including beginning ones like how to make a wine tote bag, a goodies case, and all about patches, and intermediate ones like crossbody convertible bag, crochet plushies, and circle skirt basics.
Over 20 sewing-themed vendors will be on site. Some of these will be Amazing Grace Designs, Dream Big Creations, and Crosswind Creates.
On the Thursday, the event will open with early check-in and no-host social. Friday’s classes will break for lunch from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. A Sewcial Party is being planned for the evening. On the Saturday, a fashion show is being planned for some time during the afternoon.
Vendor Hall will be open all three days from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and classes will be going on all weekend. On Sunday, Vendor Hall will run from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and there will be a raffle.
Everyone is welcome to bring their overflow of sewing supplies they no longer want and join in the Destash Bash.
The swag booth will have stickers, Apparel, hats featuring the event’s Logo Design, and fabric available for purchase. Most apparel will be custom made during the event.
Sew Magical Expo 2023 will take place at the Gaylord Texan, 1501 Gaylord Trail, February 17 through 19.
