Known as the Christmas Capital of Texas, Grapevine will begin this year's holiday festivities with the Carol of Lights coming in late November.
Lighting the entire street from Dallas Road to Northwest Highway will take place in lieu of the traditional Christmas tree lighting ceremony. This will be at 5:30 pm.
Activities will include six bounce houses, each with a holiday theme, along with games and crafts, a rock wall, and a snowball launch. The Frozen FunZone will feature an inflatable maze, mobile curling lanes, toboggan tunnel, and sledding hill, and the giant snow globe will be available for pictures. Toyland will be filled with life-size interactive toys. Photos may be taken with Santa in the Founders Building.
Many visitors taking pictures at events such as this often take the photos to local Stationery printers to be used in personalized Holiday Cards.
The Gazebo, North, and South stages will have carolers, a ballet, and drummers. Other entertainment will include Newlook Performing Arts, the CHHS Premier Panteras & Pantherettes, Texas Glammas, and Calm Cool Collective.
The artisan market will have everything from cakes, confections, and treats to hats, bling, ornaments, and teddy bears for sale. Food options will include Maine lobster, corn dogs, tacos, churros, waffles, and pastries.
Carol of Lights will take place Monday, November 25 from 4:00 pm to 8:30 pm in Historic Downtown Grapevine.
