Frisco’s Rollertown Beerworks will host a concert by the pop-punk band Bowling For Soup this June.
The concert serves as the band’s 32nd anniversary show, bringing the signature hits, including “Girl All the Bad Guys Want” and “1985,” that made Bowling For Soup the unapologetic power-chord powerhouse it is today.
Opening for Bowling For Soup is another high-energy pop-punk band, Van Full of Nuns.
The Rollertown concert is just one of many events that Bowling For Soup will be involved in throughout June. The night before, at Riders Field in Frisco, there will also be a short acoustic set and meet-and-greet prior to a game by the Frisco Rough Riders baseball team. Then the band is headed to other concerts out of state, including in Indiana, and an entire tour in the United Kingdom lasting until early July. The band is hosting other concerts throughout the U.S. from now until the fall.
Not only is Bowling For Soup revered in the pop-punk genre, they’re also popular among those who grew up with the Disney animated series Phineas and Ferb, as they performed the series theme tune “Today is Gonna Be a Great Day.”
Concerts like this may choose to use banner printing to create stage decorations and marquees.
Bowling for Soup is performing on June 5 from 5 pm to 8:30 pm at the open-air concert venue Backyard at Rollertown Beerworks at 6450 Main Street in Frisco.
