Genre-blending band rocks into Frisco

Frisco’s 10 Mile Music Hall is hosting the band Nether Hour this spring.

The Austin-based outfit may not play the country genre, but they nevertheless champion their Southern roots in their music. Taking inspiration from the local musical flavors of both Texas and Louisiana, Nether Hour creates a coming together of soul, rock and roll, funk, and blues.

Their underground performances at hole-in-the-wall venues feature a distinctive mix of guitar and mandolin by Bishop and bass by Bercy, all of which is topped off by the raw vocal stylings of leader singer Bobby Flaco. The band takes inspiration from the likes of Santana, AC/DC, the Eagles, D’Angelo, and the Rolling Stones, among other artists.

The trio is currently on tour, set to make stops in Louisiana, other cities in Texas, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, and Mississippi.

Nether Hour’s newest album is Moonshine. Released in 2025, the collection of tracks takes the high-energy beats of their live shows and layers them with vocals, guitar riffs and melodies reminiscent of one of their unbridled jam sessions. Moonshine is a follow-up to their previously released album Sunshine.
