The second annual Frisco Oktoberfest is taking place this October.
Last year's festival was a resounding success and hopefully will be repeated this year. The event, which will be emceed by Bryan Linder, will start off with the traditional tapping of the beer keg by the mayor. It will be followed by lots of traditional German foods like bratwurst and sauerkraut, plenty of beer and musical entertainment. Some of the groups performing this year are the Polkameisters, The High Definition Band and Texanischer Schuhplattler Verein d'Holzar.
There will also be German dance lessons and contests in beer stein hoisting, bratwurst eating and keg rolling. In addition, there will be lots of people dress in traditional clothing such as dirndls and lederhosen. Guests are encouraged to wear their own to get in the spirit.
The Marketplatz is expected to feature over 100 vendors. They will be selling arts and crafts items such as handmade jewelry and clothing, German-related souvenirs and general merchandise.
Frisco Stationery printers are often asked to provide items such as Banners, Flyers and Posters for popular public events such as this one.
