Frisco to host its first En Plein festival

The Grove at Frisco Commons will soon be transformed into an outdoor artists’ studio, and it will showcase the talents of painters from in and around the community.

This year will see the first En Plein Air Frisco outdoor art event take place, and its schedule of activities runs for four days. All works of art created will be available for purchase, and a portion of the proceeds will be passed along to the Visual Arts Guild of Frisco.

The fun will get off to a flying start with a welcome reception where the public can meet the artists in person. The next two days will be dedicated to painting, and there will be an optional quick draw/wet paint competition. The function will draw to a close with an awards reception to recognize the talents of the artists who took part.

Outdoor events may call for specially crafted banner printing and other decor services, as they will be able to craft items able to withstand being exposed to the elements. A function's Logo Design or other graphics may be incorporated into the items prepared.

The inaugural En Plein Air Frisco will open with its welcome reception on Wednesday, April 12. It will wrap up on Saturday, April 15, and more details can be accessed through its web listing.
