Frisco is proud to be home to the largest choreographed show of holiday lights and music in North Texas, and this well-loved event is set to celebrate its 19th year.
The city has set the date for its Christmas in the Square, and this annual gathering has drawn crowds that topped 75,000 visitors. It will be suitable for all ages, and admission is free for the public.
The event can be enjoyed in a car or on foot, and there will be a choreographed soundtrack. At least 180,000 lights, hundreds of dancing snowflakes, 8 miles of extension cords, a variety of lighting, and 10 miles of wiring will be used in its construction.
Along with the lights and music, the organizers have scheduled other activities throughout the season. These include Skate the Square, a holiday tree lot and a toy drive facilitated by Toys for Troops and Once in Lifetime.
As with many special community events, the festivities are counting on the support of the city's corporate community.
