A Frisco area golf outing is set to offer fun in the sun, and while the players get into the swing of things, they will be offering a hand up to veterans in need.
Defenders of Freedom has joined forces with Dell Technologies to host its 18th annual Golf Outing. Those who are interested can sign up to play as an individual or as part of a team, and there is an option for anyone who would like to sponsor a servicemember to golf with them.
The activity has been planned for The Clubs at the Tribute in The Colony, and play will open with shotgun start. The monies raised will support programs that help former military members who have suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI).
As with many fundraisers, this outing is counting on the generosity of the community. There are several ways for local businesses, both large and small, to lend their support through its sponsorship program. These start at the Bed and Breakfast level, and go all the way up to the Patriot Sponsor level. The companies and individuals who opt to do so will have their support recognized in several ways, including having their Logo Design added to the function's marketing materials.
