A Frisco post-secondary school has organized an event that will make it easier for its current crop of frosh to hit the ground running.
The Frisco Campus Conference Center will be the venue for a day planned with Collin College freshmen in mind. Dubbed C.A.T. (Cougars Achieve Together) Camp, it will be filled with information and resources, and is free to attend.
The session will include input from current students at the school, and faculty members will also be participating. Intended for those who have already taken an orientation session, there will be an optional evening activity to follow that includes food and drinks. There will be a special workshop for first-generation learners, and it will offer a chance for everyone to meet and make connections with their future classmates. The function will run for seven hours.
Many colleges and universities host events for frosh that can help them to make the most of their post-secondary years. Brochure printing and other marketing services for an event will be on offer for an affordable price at a local printer.
This introduction to campus life at Collin College will begin at 11:00 am on August 3. The day will wrap up at 7:00 pm, and anyone who would like to secure their spot can do so by visiting its Eventbrite listing.
