The Frisco Freedom Fest is taking place during the Independence Day holiday next month. The annual festival helps the city celebrate July 4 in style.
It will start off with the Dachshund Dash. The public can register their weiner dogs to compete in the race; registration is $10 per dog and the first three will receive prizes. It will be followed by the ‘Hotter 'n Firecrackers Glow Run’ at 9:00 PM. Participants are encouraged to wear fluorescent gear as they run to music.
The next day, July 4, there will be a Party in the Plaza beginning at 4:00 PM. It will feature musical entertainment, dance performances, and a vendor village. There will also be a Children's Expo with rides, bounce houses, face painting, and other fun activities.
Guests can also enjoy a Hometown Hero exhibit or take part in the Taste of Frisco, where they will be able to sample a variety of local foods.
Later in the afternoon, there will be an FC Dallas soccer match at Toyota Stadium, which will be followed by a fireworks extravaganza.
