Rain barrels offer an eco-friendly way to keep a yard in top shape, and a Frisco area workshop will introduce their benefits to the general public.
A seminar that will offer tips for constructing a DIY Rain Barrel will explore why one of these rain-gathering devices can be a welcome addition to the home landscape, and it’s free to take part. In this presentation of Rooted In, for an additional fee, the learners will be able to construct their own 55 gallon barrel to take home at the end of the class.
During the workshop, the assembled group will discover how a rain barrel can help to keep a garden, lawn, or yard irrigated at no cost, and they will also learn how it is an environmentally friendly choice. Those who choose to craft one during the event will use a food grade container that’s been recycled, measuring 36 inches tall by 24 inches wide.
A poster printing company will be able to offer a wide selection of choices for promoting a class like this to the public. The Posters and other materials can be placed in high-traffic areas, sent out to local households, and distributed in a variety of other ways as well.
Frisco residents will welcome the rain for this event August 14. The venue for the day will be located at 8300 McKinney Road, and anyone who wishes to order a rain barrel kit will need to do so through its Eventbrite listing.
