Mayfest: Fort Worth celebrates community

Mayfest, produced by the non-profit Trinity Collaborative, Inc., is a four-day festival featuring live music, performing arts, pet adoptions, carnival rides, festive foods, children’s activities, and over 100 Art and Gift vendors.

Mayfest is an annual event the proceeds of which are dispersed among three of the event’s four founding organizations – The City of Fort Worth Park and Recreation Department, Streams & Valleys, Inc., and The Junior League of Fort Worth. The Trinity Collaborative, Inc. has returned over $7.5 million for the benefit of the city and its citizens.

Offering a wide diversity of entertainment options, Mayfest has something to offer everyone. Attendees can enjoy live music, demonstrations and exhibits, community showcases, visual arts performances, nature education, attraction shows, a petting zoo, carnival rides, pony rides, and paintball.

Poster printing provides an affordable way of reminding the public of upcoming festivals and other events.

Over 50 local and regional bands will take turns entertaining on three stages playing a wide range of genres including country, rock, oldies, jazz and bluegrass. Included at the festival will be a Children’s Area geared for children 3-12 featuring over 20 free activities, which is open until 7:30 pm each night. Also, a wide array of food options, in addition to the traditional turkey legs, funnel cakes and corn dogs, will be available from a variety of small area businesses.

The festival will take place on 33 acres in Trinity Park over four days. The festival runs April 30 through May 3.
