Meacham’s award is part of the $477,500 the Regional Transportation Council has designated for division among four North Texas airports. According to transportation officials the funding is designed to enable North Texas airports to improve the operation and availability of air mobile operations including air taxis.
Numerous opportunities exist for printing services to work with airports, individual airlines and the various businesses operating within the airport such as Menus, signage, baggage identification and a range of customized business Stationery.
Aviation planning program manager at the North Central Texas Council of Governments, Ernest Huffman, said:
“We want to make sure that as eVTOL aircraft become available and operations begin to scale, our airports are ready to support them. This investment is about building out that regional network now.”
The Lone Star State is one of the first areas chosen by the FAA for establishing a regional hub via the pilot program. Perot Field was introduced to the program by the Texas DOT on September 10 to determine how advanced air mobility can contribute to the national transportation system.
As of now, no eVTOL flights are scheduled at Meacham.
