What's Happening in Fort Worth, TX…

Fort Worth workshop puts beer on breakfast menu

Beer is set to take a central role in cookery class that will be offered in Fort Worth, and it will show how this beverage can be incorporated into a variety of dishes.

Central Market Fort Worth will be using this popular fermented beverage as the base for several breakfast and brunch themed foods, and it’s for those age 21 and up. Attendees will be working in small teams, and four dishes are on the menu.

The workshop will begin with preparing a jam from bacon, onions and porter served alongside cornmeal madeleines, and it will then be time to craft a dish of ale marinated veggies. Welsh rarebit with dark ale and lager battered apple fritters will wrap up the meal. Everyone will be served a “beermosa” to sip on; this will be an in-person activity with everyone getting in lots of hands-on practice.

A cookery class can be a fun way to pick up some new kitchen skills and techniques. Recipe cards, printed aprons and the materials can be ordered for a business from area printing services.

This exploration of how beer can be incorporated into a morning meal will open at 11:00 am on July 5th. It will be on offer at 4651 West Freeway, and the fee to take part starts at $89.63.
