Fort Worth to teach children how to cook

The Central Market Cooking School in Fort Worth will hold a course in March for children ages 10-12.

Kids who want to improve their cooking skills can attend a class where they can learn how to make Chinese dishes. The lesson will teach children about chicken lettuce wraps, wonton soup, fried rice, and orange chicken. The younger kids in the course will learn basic cooking techniques, while the older students will be trusted with more advanced skills. Those who participate in the lesson must have their hair tied back and wear closed-toe shoes.

The cooking course is offered by Central Market, a chain of grocery stores located in cities like Dallas, Austin, and Fort Worth. The market has several departments, like household items, a bakery, and frozen foods. The cooking school in the grocery store holds classes for chefs of all ages. People can take part in cooking lessons such as Dim Sum Favorites, Boston Seafood, and Barcelona Barbeque. Central Market’s school also offers classes for couples on topics like crayfish boils.

The Chinese-themed cooking course will be on Tuesday, March 12th at 2:00pm. The cost for children to attend the event is $55 per kid. Parents are asked to dress students in layers. Children in the class will only be released to the parent who brought them to the lesson. Cooking schools that offer programs like this may use poster printing to share them with the community.
