Fort Worth to get creative with cookies
Sweet treats are often included in fall and winter holiday celebrations, and the registrants in a Fort Worth workshop will learn to create cookies that are as pretty as they are tasty.
A November class will provide an introduction to the art of decorating cookies, and Lockwood Distilling Co. will be welcoming the event. The instruction will be provided by a member of The Sweet Spot Fort Worth’s staff, and tickets for the session are $60 each.
Attendees will be working with royal icing, and they will receive copies of the recipe for the frosting as well as the cookies themselves. There will be a discussion about which decorating methods work best. Everyone will receive a box of pre-baked cookies to work with as well as a set of supplies, and since the event caters to the beginner, they will be encouraged to ask any questions they have. They can take their creations home to share or keep all for themselves.
A culinary workshop provides a chance for the participants to learn some new skills in a fun and supportive environment. Copy of recipes as well as other handouts for an activity can be prepared by a local brochure printing company.
The Gobble, Gobble! cookie decorating class is scheduled to begin at 1:00 pm on November 17. Additional cookie kits can be ordered as an add-on when purchasing tickets. Lockwood Distilling Co. can be found at 1411 W. Magnolia Avenue.
