What's Happening in Fort Worth, TX…

Fort Worth to discover importance of soils

A good soil provides a healthy foundation for a garden, and whether they grow vegetables, flowers, fruit, or a combination of all three, a Fort Worth class is set to welcome local home gardeners.

Fort Worth Botanic Garden will be giving the inside scoop on how to prepare a healthy soil, and it will be a deep dive experience. Admission to the Garden is included in the registration fee so that attendees can see the end result of using a healthy growing medium.

Learners will find out about the various processes that take place in their garden’s soil, and also how this knowledge can be used to grow everything from marigolds to melons to maple trees. Everyone will walk away with knowledge they can put to use right away. The facilitator for the class will be Bob Byers, who has over a quarter of a century of experience.

Home horticulture is a hobby that many enjoy, and gardeners often welcome the chance to pick up some new skills. Plant tags, pre-printed seed storage packets, seedling tray labels, dibbers, and many other items for a gardening themed workshop will be available at a professional print company, and they may be printed with a logo.

This opportunity to learn about the importance of healthy soils is scheduled for Monday, January 20. It will get started at 6:00 pm, and additional details will be emailed to the registrants.
