Wine bar to take over former Fireside Pies location

A California winery and café, called Waters Edge Winery, will be opening at Creekside Village at 6750 Abrams Road where Fireside Pies used to be located.

The new concept, founded by married couple Ken and Angela Lineberger, brings together a traditional winery and wine bar, combining it with a bistro. Waters Edge Winery is a franchise that buys grape juice from across the globe, bottling it at each location for sale by the glass or bottle. The juices are imported from California, Italy, France, Spain, Australia and New Zealand and include samples of merlot, pinot noir, pinot grigio, cabernet, chardonnay and a variety of sangria wines that include raspberry peach red sangria and peach apricot white sangria.

The winery does custom bottle labeling for personalized gifts, operates a wine club and provides private tasting areas. Local printing services provide a wide range of options with regard to personalization.

Guests can pick from over 50 wines and pair their choice with flatbreads, salads, appetizers, sandwiches and desserts Many items on the menu are designed for sharing such as a tortilla chips and a cheesy Southwest corn dip, and flavored butters to go with mini baguettes.

The franchise presently has 11 locations, one of which has operated in Houston since 2020. The Abrams Road location will be just one of three that will open in 2025.

The Dallas Waters Edge Winery is expected to open in early 2025.
