Population prediction for Dallas-Fort Worth in 2019

Marcus & Millichap, a dealer of commercial real estate services, released a population forecast showing that Dallas-Fort Worth will continue as a magnet for new residents in 2019.

The forecast is for the Metroplex to add over 80,000 new people for what will make five years in a row. Moreover, it is anticipated that the increase in population will also add over 100,000 new jobs to the twin city complex. This will ensure the Metroplex makes the list of the country’s top markets for job creation in 2019.

Both the Dallas and Fort Worth culture map sites quoted the forecasters as saying:

"Diverse hiring velocity will allow the metro’s employment base to expand 2.8 percent this year, led by a continued influx of traditional office positions. Additionally, job gains within the hospitality, retail, and health sectors should also be robust, a response to the market’s rapidly growing populace."

Forecasts such as this one will often find their way into reports sent to Print shops for inclusion into reports created to sway potential developers.

It is anticipated that, percentage wise, Dallas-Fort Worth will keep up with Houston’s expected increase in population. Additionally, the forecast shows Austin, Houston, San Antonio as well as Dallas-Fort Worth as have a bit lower population growth in 2019 than was estimated for the 2018 growth rates.
