At the corner of Preston and Royal roads in North Dallas, the popular White Rock Coffee shop of East Dallas is opening its latest location.
The fourth White Rock Coffee location will be opening in what was a Subway shop at 5930 Royal Ln., with a hoped for date sometime in late summer. Nancy and Robert Baker, the owners, are 13-year veterans of the local coffee scene.
At their 10105 Northwest Hwy. store the couple serve not only espressos and coffee but also cookies, muffins, pastries, and sandwiches, prepared at their bakery. Signature sweets include sweet tea cupcakes and a variety of quick breads.
The Bakers hold classes dealing with coffee and have opened a training location adjacent to their Northwest Highway shop. A class on “coffee brewing basics” will be held on July 7 to educate the public on how to brew the best coffee in the home.
How the new shop’s opening will be promoted has not been revealed – it could be via Flyers or with the help of a banner printing service.
Nancy and Robert have a reputation for involvement in their community and recently supported a charitable golf tournament where wounded veterans and golf pros were paired. In addition to backing charitable causes, they also maintain an active Facebook page with pictures of happy drive-through customers, many posing with their canine fur babies.
