A kosher market and deli called Kosher Palate is opening in the early summer ,with a unique twist.
The new eatery’s owner, Howard Goldfeder, currently operates a catering company known as Texas Kosher BBQ and has been involved in the kosher food industry for over 25 years. His new establishment will open at the intersection of Belt Line Rd and Coit Road.
In addition to its deli, the eatery will also feature a kosher grocery and catering service, each of which will also offer Texas-style BBQ. A flyer printing service could be used to cross promote the various services offered by the Kosher Palate.
Described by Goldfeder as ‘Southern Heimish’ the Kosher Palate’s on-site deli will offer kosher comfort food with a Southern flair and seating for 30 to 40 customers. The deli will feature corned beef and pastrami sandwiches, salads, soups, kugels, chicken, and baked goods.
The onsite catering service will offer a menu that includes prime rib, honey-poblano chicken, sea bass, salads and appetizers.
The Kosher Palate’s fully kosher grocery will feature items not easily found in the Dallas area. They include the likes of Cholov Yisroel Dairy Products, kosher meat, and “fresh-checked lettuce” and herbs that have been cleaned in compliance with Dallas Kosher guidelines.
According to Goldfeder, customers can pick up their whole Shabbat meal on Thursday or Friday. Ordering will be possible via an online website or smartphone app with home delivery and curbside pickup available.
