East Coast-style seafood restaurant docks in Uptown Dallas

The Dock, a seafood restaurant with origins in the food truck sector of the food service industry, is moving to Uptown Dallas.

It will move to where Mamoun’s Falafel was located on 3839 McKinney Ave.

Most Dallas-Fort Worth seafood restaurants serve seafood predominately in the Southern and Louisiana-style with fried catfish among the most popular choices. The Dock, however will specialize in seafood such as New England clam chowder, lobster and crab, items caught and served primarily in the Northeast.

Restaurants or any business dealing in a product out of the ordinary for an area often choose to spell out those differences in the copy sent to a Stationery printer.

Brett and Denise Curtis, husband and wife, own The Dock, as well as a food truck they opened in 2016 and a Food Hall stand they launched in 2018 in Fort Worth at Crockett Row.

The Menus for the food truck and the stand at the Food Hall while similar do differ somewhat. Both venues feature starters, tacos, sandwiches and salads that chiefly centered on seafood with an emphasis on Lobster.

As for the Dock, the menu will include garlic lobster fries, lobster grilled cheese sandwich, Maryland crab cakes and lobster mac and cheese. Other offerings will be Baja fish tacos as well as house-made potato chips that are in-house-made and sprinkled with “crab seasoning.”

According to Brett Curtis, the plan is to open sometime after the middle of November; however, no firm date has been set.
