Dallas makes top 20 on list of most million-dollar homes

The median home price may not have reached the $400,000 mark yet, but LendingTree has ranked Dallas at No. 20 on its list of cities with the most homes valued at the lofty price of $1m or over.

LendingTree, a personal finance platform has recently conducted a study of the 50 largest metro areas in the U.S. That study put the Dallas area as having 2.2% of owner-occupied houses with values at or exceeding $1m. That means that out of the 1,561,136 total homes here, the number valued at $1m or more is 34,376.

Real estate agencies and independent realtors work closely with Print shops to publicize the homes they have for sale, both with exterior signage and with printed Booklets and individual Flyers.

San Jose, California took the No. 1 spot with an incredible 52.89% of owner-occupied homes worth $1m or more. In Texas, Austin was the highest ranking with 3.51%, earning it a U.S. ranking of 12th place, which was a slight drop from 2021 when it placed 11th. Houston ranked a little higher than Dallas at No. 17 with 2.4%. San Antonio came in at No. 36 with 1.26%.

According to the website, on average, in the 50 largest metros, 4.71% of the owner-occupied homes have a value of at least $1m.
