Cane Rosso pizzeria to open in Lake Highlands

Cane Rosso is one of Dallas’ most popular pizzerias and soon there will be more to love with a new location opening in the Lake Highlands Town Cener in a site formerly occupied by a Taco Diner.

The first Cane Rosso opened in 2011 in Deep Ellum with a second location not opening until 11 years later in North Dallas; the chain quickly took off from there. Currently there are seven Cane Rosso’s across Texas in Dallas, Fort Worth, Frisco and Arlington serving Neapolitan-style pizzas from wood-fired traditional ovens with pastas, salads, desserts and cocktails. In addition to their regular menu, they do special monthly pizzas as well.

Although a new addition to a chain of businesses will share the same Logo Design, each member needs its own business letterhead containing its address and phone number.

Concurrent with the opening of the bulk of its locations, the chain engaged the Brooklyn-born Christian Petroni as its new culinary head. Plans are for him to refresh Cane Rosso’s menu choices as well as rework the Menus for founder Jay Jerrier’s other concept eateries Zoli’s and Thunderbird Pies. Petroni, who has a cookbook, Parm to Table, due out in 2024, hosts his own line of products.

Cane Rosso has been featured on Guy Fieri’s Food Network show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. According to a news release, Jerrier anticipates having his latest Cane Rosso open sometime in April.
