An event celebrating community, fun, and good wine is returning to Franklin for the 22nd time.
The upcoming Wine Down Main Street is a unique event that is held in Historic Downtown Franklin. Participants will have the chance to stroll up and down Main Street, stopping in at one (or all) of the over 20 shops that will be taking part in the fun. These merchants will have wine from throughout the world, which they will be making available for tasting. People taking part will have a booklet with a list of the wines, and descriptions of these vintages. They will also be given a commemorative wine glass.
In addition to sampling various wines, people enjoying the event may also shop at various merchants, which is a good way to start picking up holiday gifts. Restaurants will also have samples available, and several musical groups will be performing.
Live entertainment this year will be provided by Bizz & Everyday People, Elecoustic Soul, the San Rafael Trio, and Brauni the Artist. They will appear at various venues throughout the downtown area.
The Wine Down Main Street this year is set for November 4, from 7.00pm until 10.00pm, and the fee is $85.00, with proceeds benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee.
