Special fundraiser comes to Franklin

A popular Franklin organization is holding an annual event to help support its operations.

Studio Tenn Theatre Company is hosting an annual fundraiser for one night only. Patrick Cassidy, the company’s Artistic Director, has taken his inspiration from the classic musicals performed on Broadway. The upcoming event is called “Broadway’s Big Top,” and will feature circus performers who will meet and mingle with audience members at a reception before the show. An open bar will be available, and heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served. After the cocktail hour, the show will begin, featuring performances inspired by musicals about the “Big Top.”

Pat Thomas is the host for the evening, and appears in the show as PT Barnum, who founded the famous Barnum & Bailey Circus. The emcee for the show is Gary Morris, a singer who is known for his version of “Bring Him Home,” which he sang on the cast album of Les Misérables. The album went on to achieve Platinum status. Morris also appeared in the leading role of Rodolfo in “La Bohéme” by Puccini, possibly the most popular opera ever written.

The evening is a tribute to Kathy Lee Gifford, who has won four Emmys and has five Books on the New York Times Best Selling List. When events like this are scheduled, organizers can use poster printing to create striking advertising.

The event is set for April 9, beginning at 6:30 pm at Liberty Hall in The Factory, in Franklin.
