Masters of acoustic guitar coming to Franklin

Three guitar masters will be making July appearances in Franklin.

Tom Wurth, Billy Dean, and John Ford Coley are the Bridges and Backroads Acoustic Tour, and will appear at the Franklin Theatre. Wurth and Coley have both received Grammy nominations, and Dean is a Grammy winner. At the performance, each of the three artists will perform individually, giving the audience the chance to hear their hits as well as upcoming releases.

Tom Wurth has released three albums, had five singles hit the charts, and earned a Grammy nomination. He is a contemporary country artist who blends rock, gospel, blues, and country into his own unique sound, and cites John Ford Coley as one of his inspirations.

Billy Dean has hit the Billboard Chart an amazing 24 times, three times going to number one. He won the Grammy in 1996 for his album “Amazing Grace, A Country Tribute to Gospel.”

A review of Dean in concert said:

“Billy Dean's voice is still . . . strong and powerful. He is an amazing artist . . .”

John Ford Coley has made it onto the charts ten times, and was nominated for a Grammy. Specializing in soft rock, he still has what it takes, with one review saying:

“John did a great job of keeping the mood light and as well as very entertaining.”

The show begins at 8:00 pm on July 23, with doors opening at 7:00 pm. Poster printing can provide advertising for events like this.
