Music lovers have a great event coming up for them in Franklin.
A two-day celebration of music will take place in Franklin at The Park at Harlinsdale Farm. The lineup includes more than 30 performers including Elle King, Lake Street Dive, the Avett Brothers, the Hog Slop String Band, Elijah Wolf, and Black Joe Lewis. Leading the bill as headliners are Brandi Carlile and Chris Stapleton.
Brandi Carlile is a singer, songwriter, and highly successful producer who is comfortable in a range of genres. To date, Carlile has dropped a total of seven albums, earning 18 Grammy nominations, and six wins including Best Americana Album in 2019 for “By the Way, I Forgive You.” She has won Best Country Song twice, as the writer of 2020s “Bring My Flowers Now,” and as the performer for “Crowded Table,” in 2021.
Stapleton, like Carlile, is a singer/songwriter and record producer. He has written or co-written more than 170 songs, including “Never Wanted Nothing More.” A hit for Kenny Chesney, it spent five weeks at No. 1. His songs have been recorded by artists such as Taylor Swift, Dierks Bentley, and Kelly Clarkson, and he has co-written with stars such as Ed Sheeran, and Vince Gill. Stapleton performed as a vocalist with two bands before beginning a solo career.
The Pilgrimage Festival is scheduled for September 24 and 25. Events like this, with numerous performers, can be enhanced if organizers use flyer printing to create a schedule for attendees.
