John Berry, fittingly for a country singer, is a native of Nashville, and has been recording since 1979. In that time, he has released over 20 studio albums and put 19 songs on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. One of the songs, “Your Love Amazes Me,” was a No. 1 hit, and six others made it into the Top 10.
In 1994, John won a nomination with ACM “Top New Male Vocalist,” and in 1996, he won his Grammy for his part in “Amazing Grace: A Country Salute to Gospel Vol. 1.” In 1995, he was again nominated for a Grammy for “Your Love Amazes Me,” his number one hit. Two years later, his work on “Long Haired Country Boy” with Hal Ketchum and Charlie Daniels brought him the nomination for Vocal Event of the Year, and ICM Awards nominated him for “Mainstream Country Male Artist” in 2013.
His voice has been described as a “pure, soulful tenor” by Country Weekly, and The Entertainment Nexus said he has:
". . . one of the most remarkable voices in music."
