An upcoming event in Franklin will raise funds to encourage women who are literal homebuilders.
FluidPay is the major sponsor of the upcoming 2022 Women Build “Hammers and High Heels” fundraiser. Guests will begin the evening enjoying cocktails handcrafted by O’ Be Joyful, followed by a plated dinner courtesy of MAFIAoZA’s. After dinner, “Burning Las Vegas,” a high-energy, popular party band, will entertain with music that represents all ages, decades, and genres. Events like this are perfect occasions for attendees to share Business Cards.
A silent auction is also planned, giving attendees a chance to win such prizes as items from the finest retailers in Franklin, unique memorabilia, trips, and more. The event host is Dawn Davenport, an Emmy winning reporter and co-host of “The Zone,” heard on 3HL radio.
Habitat for Humanity Williamson-Maury (HFHWM) announced the event, in support of the Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build program. The program enables women to pick up the hammer and other tools and lead the way in helping local families build or buy affordable, safe housing. The upcoming evening is the biggest fundraiser HFHWM does, and it draws about 400 people. They will try to raise $70,000, which is the amount needed to build a home. Habitat for Humanity builds between 10 and 16 homes annually and has built more than 290 homes in Maury and Williamson Counties.
“Hammers and High Heels” is scheduled for May 13th at The Factory on Franklin Road, starting at 6.30 pm until 11.00 pm.
