Franklin residents can adopt kittens from Kitty Hall

Franklin cat lovers, people who would like to add a furry member to their family, or anyone who wants to support their local animal shelter will be able to do so soon.

The City of Franklin and the Williamson Animal Center are partnering to create a unique event called Kitty Hall. The fun includes a kitty election, an adoption event, and fundraising, all to be held in the Franklin City Hall, which will become Kitty Hall for a few hours. Heart and Hands, Landmark Booksellers, Ruby Sunshine, the Downtown Franklin Association, and Mars Petcare are all part of the fun.

Since next year is an election year, the cat puns are flying with regard to the event, which is set for a conference room in Kitty (City) Hall. The room will resemble a cat café where people can spend time with the cats and kittens that are adoptable. They will also be able to use their dollars to cast a “vote” for the best ‘catidate’ for the office of ‘meower’, or for ‘aldercat’. All the money raised will go to the Williamson Animal Center. Banner printing can provide decorations for events like this.

At the event, the Center will be giving prospective pet parents the chance to buy two kittens for one low price. A kitten (or two) is $10, and so is an adult cat. The event is set for July 19, from 10:30 am until 2:30 pm, at Franklin City (Kitty) Hall.
